English tapered copper and brass outside lantern
An amazing period lantern probably from an admiralty establishment with heavy brass frame below a copper roof , this lantern will withstand all weathers and would be perfect on the outside of an Arts and Crafts or seaside house . It can of course also be used on the inside of any property and will particularly fit well in narrow stair wells . Constructed very much in the style of ships bulkhead brass lights its a substantial lantern with a three branch cradle - English dating circa 1920
