French gothic converted gasolier

Information

An interesting mid 19th century ex gasolier now converted to electricity ,  measurement given is from the top plate  and includes the original gas  stem , the lantern could be shortened  or lengthened  by use of additional chain  from the  ceiling plate ( included ) , decorated with winged caryatids an  swags of fruit and flowers  . Original etched glass bowl .

Suitable for a Gothic style house or mansion , useful as a lobby lantern or cloakroom lantern --- French circa 1870
