It has to be said we sell a great many antique , mid century and contemporary floor lamps as part of our antique lighting range

no 9) leather covered
no 8) rewired and PAT tested
no 7) with shades that fit
no 6) Unusual shapes
no 5) adjustable shade positions
no 4) pairs
no 3) Small profile bases
no 2) swing arms
no 1 ) Reading arms .
So there we have it--- all the things which make up a great lamp , it can be 1970 or it can be 1900 but it needs some of the above to make it a great lamp . Fashions change 3 yrs ago we were selling adjustable lamps with reeded stems dating from the gas light age with claw feet esp to the country house clients , but these are now not so popular , 6 or 7 yrs a go we were selling Argentian or Italian swing arm lights , now back in fashon big time .
